What is Agent Moto Helper?

The simple answer

This is a self help information service with a focus on vehicle control and confidence for new riders, not a business model focused on rider licensing.

Think of Moto Agent Helper as a motorcycle preparatory service for rider learning, not a replacement for existing riding schools.

If you are in Christchurch, New Zealand, we can offer one-on-one peer support service and put some big smiles on your face.
There is nothing like direct feedback and one-on-one guidance when starting out on your motorcycle journey.

What many riding tutors will not tell you is the real learning happens when you are out on your own so we think information proved on this website is very useful once you are out riding and adapting to two wheel life.

Riding schools will always provide foundational riding methods to improve rider safety and provide feedback on your current vehicle control along with performing licence assessments but as all learning requires repetition to retain what you have learnt then information is a the key ingredient to rider success and this is why a preparatory learning system is good value for new motorcycle riders.

How do I get my motorcycle licence?

Practice and patience is the key requirements to passing any assessment when learning to ride a motorcycle.

I can already ride a motorcycle, I just need to get my licence?

Best to assume you know nothing and follow the licencing guides and procedures for your country.

Motorcycle assessors are not wanting to know if you have been riding for 20+ years, they are more interested in knowing you can perform the tasks set out. Things like head checks, road positioning and rider communication.

I ride a bicycle currently?

There are some differences for bicycle riders that want to start riding motorcycles.

Your primary focus should be practicing how to ride a motorcycle effectively before progressing your licence.

The brakes, clutch and general control of the motorcycle does differ enough that any long term habits you have from cycling and mopeds/scooters can affect your safety on a motorcycle.

You may need some initial practice time to un-learn some old habits but we believe anyone can ride a motorcycle with good instruction.

Most items are free and are presented here at this website as a central collection or library.

Independently, you will find out what is needed but from many different sources and your own experiences and that can take some time, extra costs and potentially some mistakes along the way (hopefully not).
